US 31 subarea plan to reach City Council Nov. 17; map shows affected subdivisions, staff says

A resident asked for the timeline and a list of subdivisions affected by the US 31 subarea plan. Staff replied that the plan had cleared the committee at its Thursday meeting and, because the deadline was missed for the earlier council agenda, it will be on the Nov. 17 council agenda as a resolution rather than a public hearing item. Staff added that the list of affected subdivisions is now visible on the project map and that residents who want to discuss the item may attend land-use committee sessions and the council discussion.
Staff encouraged residents to attend Plan Commission and land-use committee meetings where the plan may be discussed in more depth; they also said the land-use committee holds roundtable discussions (often at the Carmel Public Library) and that members of the public are welcome at those sessions to present comments.
