The Crown Point Board of Zoning Appeals voted to give a favorable recommendation to City Council on Petition 25-39, a special-use request to allow a fitness facility (Club Pilates) at 10835 Broadway in the Beacon Hill Shopping Center.
Planning staff said Club Pilates would occupy the former Stride tenant space and that the applicant had worked with staff to obtain proper approvals; staff reported about half a dozen letters of support from residents and businesses. Petitioner James Lemons said the company operates multiple studios in the region and is preparing to open additional locations.
On a roll-call vote the board issued a favorable recommendation; staff informed the petitioner that final approval will be decided by City Council at its next meeting.
