Hilliard honors four students for life‑saving aid at crash near I‑270

HILLIARD, Ohio — The Hilliard City Council on Oct. 27 formally recognized Dylan Shields, Luke Self, Seth French and Logan Faulkner for immediately responding to a semi‑truck crash on I‑270, providing CPR and assisting first responders until EMS took over.
President Tina Catone read the council proclamation citing “extraordinary courage, heroism, and quick response” and noting the students’ enrollment in the firefighter/EMT program at Tolles Career & Technical Center. Recreation & Parks staff member Ed Merritt introduced the students and thanked them for applying their training while on the way to school; council presented commendations to each student.
