Port Hueneme council holds closed session on city attorney; no reportable action

Port Hueneme City Council met in special session on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and recessed into closed session to discuss public employment concerning the position of city attorney, the council heard.
The city manager read the closed session item into the record as being taken pursuant to Government Code section 54957(b)(1). The council recessed for closed session and later reconvened; the city manager reported, “There is no reportable action for the listed closed session item on the agenda.”
Council members present at the meeting were Council Member Gama, Council Member Hernandez, Council Member Perez, Mayor Pro Tem Lopez and Mayor McQueen Lejeune. The clerk reported there were no public comments before the council recessed. The city manager then announced the next regular meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m., and adjourned the special meeting.
The closed session item on the agenda was limited to a personnel matter related to the city attorney as specified in the agenda; no motions or votes were recorded in open session related to that item.
