The grant committee — chaired this year by council members and community volunteers — presented the slate in public, listing awards such as $13,800 for Pantry 279, $6,400 for Hoosier Hills Food Bank, $5,444.05 for Bloomington Meals on Wheels hot boxes, and smaller awards to dozens of local service providers addressing food, shelter, reentry and youth programs.
