Pinole — The City Council held a public hearing Oct. 21 and adopted staff’s recommendation to levy and collect the fiscal-year 2025–26 assessments for the Pinole Valley Road Landscape & Lighting Assessment District, staff said.
The district contains two zones: Zone A (north of I‑80) and Zone B (south of I‑80). Staff reported Zone A’s assessment per unit at $567.32 for FY25–26 (about $11 higher than the prior year) and Zone B’s assessment per unit at $617.22 (about $12 higher). Staff said there were no written objections received before the hearing.
On a motion to adopt the engineer’s report and order the assessment amounts, council approved the staff recommendation on a recorded roll-call vote. Staff said it will begin a parallel review early next year to identify infrastructure deficiencies and consult with commercial property owners regarding longer-term improvements and any methodology updates.
