Hot Springs recommends Trotz Plumbing & More as primary and KP Plumbing Services as secondary for term plumbing contract

Utilities staff reported four proposals for plumbing services and recommended awarding a one-year term contract (renewable) to Trotz Plumbing & More, Inc. as primary vendor and KP Plumbing Services LLC as secondary. Staff said Trotz has worked for the city previously and ranking documentation is in the board packet.
Money Ledbetter, the city’s utilities director, told the board the city issued a request for proposals for plumbing services and received four responses: Trotz Plumbing & More; KP Plumbing Services LLC; Rex White Plumbing; and Daniel Air and Electric. Using the city’s rating and ranking system, staff ranked Trotz Plumbing & More highest with KP Plumbing Services as a close second.
Ledbetter said the term contract is proposed for one-year terms, renewable up to four additional one-year terms, and that staff request authorization to call the secondary vendor when the primary is unavailable. He said Trotz has previously worked for the city — including plumbing work at City Hall — while KP Plumbing Services had not worked for the city recently. Ledbetter confirmed that the detailed rating and ranking materials are included in the board packet.
The board did not vote during the agenda review; the contract award will be before the board at the Nov. 4 meeting.
