The Martinsville Redevelopment Commission approved last month's minutes and voted to approve the commission's claims for the current month. During review of the claims packet, staff circulated corrected line items and asked members to initial the corrections.
Members then voted to amend the previous month's claims total. A motion to amend the previously approved expenditures from $853,009.46 (prior reported total) to a corrected total of $724,611.98 was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Staff explained the corrections were required because some line items had been doubled or listed incorrectly in the initial packet; staff circulated a corrected breakdown and asked members to initial the corrected document for the record.
There was also discussion about which projects would be paid from bond proceeds rather than TIF revenues; staff and the city engineer said several levy projects will be paid from bond funding because of an available $2,000,000 matching allocation.
After the votes, staff said they would gather signatures and produce checks once the signed paperwork was returned.
The meeting record does not include a detailed roll-call tally for the voice votes; the motions were recorded as approved by members saying "aye."
