MUNCIE, Ind. — The Muncie City Board of Public Works and Safety approved claims totaling $1,635,005.45 at its Oct. 29 meeting.
A staff member summarized the claims, saying the packet — which "sent out the claims yesterday afternoon" — included paving improvements, sidewalk repairs, routine utilities and health-care items. "Just had some, some highlights some of the claims, straight paving improvements and sidewalk, repairs etcetera. And then our usual utilities which we did a second run last week and I included that on there and with our health care," the presenter said.
A board member moved to approve the claims; another member seconded the motion. The board approved the claims by voice vote.
No individual claim line items were discussed in detail during the meeting. The staff presenter did not provide a line-item breakdown during the public portion of the meeting; that information is recorded in the claims packet distributed to board members.
