Fulton students: 21 selected for NISMA area All-State music ensembles

The board recognized 21 students from Fulton who were selected for the NISMA area All-State music festival. Luigi Giacannucci, band director at G. Wade Bodley High School, said the students earned placements after performing solos at the NISMA solo festival and scoring among the top performers across Oswego, Herkimer and Oneida counties. Giacannucci listed the students and asked them to stand for recognition. He said Fulton also sent 12 students to an honor band ensemble, more than any other district in the three counties.
Board members and administrators congratulated the students, staff and parents for the achievement. The NISMA area All-State rehearsals and performances are scheduled for Nov. 21——6 and Nov. 22.
