The Board of Supervisors of Eaton adopted a resolution establishing its rules of procedure for 2025 and elected Sheila Knoll as chair and Douglas Holroyd as vice chair during its Jan. 7, 2025 meeting.

The board voted to adopt proposed Resolution R25-5-1 to set the board’s rules of procedure for 2025. The motion to adopt was made by Supervisor Sheila Knoll and carried on a roll-call vote with all members present voting yes.

The board then conducted nominations and an election for the board’s officers. Supervisor Roan nominated Sheila Knoll, member of District 2, for chair; the nomination was closed by motion and the board elected Knoll by roll call. Supervisor Shepherd moved to elect Knoll; the roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval. The board later nominated and elected Douglas Holroyd as vice chairman; that motion also passed unanimously on a roll-call vote.

During an open discussion following the organizational business, members offered New Year’s greetings and brief remarks about the year ahead for York County. Newly elected Chair Sheila Knoll said, “I would like to thank the board members for letting me chairman this year. I really appreciate the honor and I look forward to the work that we're gonna do in 2025.” Other supervisors thanked the outgoing chair and expressed optimism about collaboration with county staff and priorities for the coming year.
