San Luis board approves $104,328 reimbursement to LaSalle Corrections for rooftop HVAC replacement

The San Luis Facility Development Corporation voted unanimously to reimburse LaSalle Corrections up to $104,328.37 for the purchase and installation of three rooftop HVAC units.
"The agenda item has the itemized costs, which, came to a $104,000, 328 with 37¢," said Kaye McQuill, general counsel to the board, during the presentation. LaSalle representatives — the warden and assistant warden — were available to answer technical questions.
Board members asked about the age of the replaced equipment. A LaSalle representative said the units in one housing unit dated to about 2011–12 while other units dated to 2007. "2007," the representative said when asked how old some of the units were.
A director moved to approve Resolution 2025-01 to reimburse LaSalle from the bond operating reserve repair account for the purchase and installation of three HVAC units "in the amount not to exceed 104,328 and 37¢." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with no nays.
The board recorded the motion as approved; staff said the agenda packet includes an itemized cost list for the units. The reimbursement will draw from the bond operating reserve repair account as authorized by the motion.
