Delhi Township trustees adopted a resolution Oct. 29 authorizing preliminary consent legislation with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for a traffic-improvement project focused on Delhi Avenue at Delhi Town Square and Clemmy Drive. The project was funded through an OKI grant administered by the state; ODOT will manage competitive bidding, construction and inspection.
Public Works Director Ron Ripperger said the township hopes to begin construction in the spring and cautioned that residents should expect short-term construction impacts during the brief project timeline. Trustees discussed intersection timing issues at Delhi and Greenwell and requested staff to press ODOT to evaluate left-turn accommodations at that location; Ripperger said a separate grant/effort will examine timing across intersections.
The board dispensed with the second reading and adopted the resolution, with trustees noting the project complements other corridor work and is intended to improve traffic flow at the town-square area.
