Police credit Flock camera network with arrests, recoveries; trustees note $40,000 annual fee

Delhi Township Police Chief Jeff Braun told trustees Oct. 29 that the township—s Flock camera network has become an important investigative tool, producing 22 arrests, 13 stolen-vehicle recoveries and roughly $120,000 in recovered property so far in 2025.
Braun said the system also provided investigative leads on multiple cases and helped with crash and stolen-vehicle follow-ups. "They—re paying dividends," he said, arguing the camera network has assisted detectives and patrol officers in generating timely leads.
The fiscal officer had earlier listed a $40,000 payment to Flock Group Inc. as part of bills for payment; trustees approved routine bill payment earlier in the meeting. Trustees and the chief noted the cameras— value both for crime response and for civil-recovery of property.
Braun also warned of a small recent spike in vehicle break-ins and urged residents to lock doors, remove valuables, park in well-lit areas and secure keyless-entry keys in Faraday bags or otherwise out of reach. He also urged residents not to leave firearms in vehicles.
The police department credited several recent arrests to a mix of patrol follow-up, unmarked vehicles and problem-warrant policing teams acting on Flock camera leads.
