The La Verne Planning Commission on Oct. 28 approved a preliminary plat for Arbor Ridge Section 6, which will create 23 residential lots on roughly 16.81 acres off Waldron Road.
Planning staff presented the plat and noted the area is zoned Planned Density Residential (PDR) with an R-1 base-district designation. Staff showed the outline of the section, the amenity center currently under construction, and photos of recently built homes in the neighborhood.
The commission heard that the section is at the southern tip of the Arbor Ridge master plan and that Rock Springs Elementary School sits nearby. With no outstanding staff comments, a commissioner moved to accept the preliminary plat as submitted. The motion received a second and passed by voice vote.
The commission approved the preliminary plat, allowing the developer to proceed with engineering and subsequent plan submissions in accordance with conditions of the PDR zoning and subdivision regulations.
