Southborough Cultural Council readies November grant review, plans town-funded community art opportunity

The Town of Southborough Cultural Council met virtually on Oct. 28 and prepared for a comprehensive review of grant applications at its Nov. 18 meeting, while also discussing a separate town-funded community art grant.

Committee member Jane Gates reported that the council has reimbursed about $3,400 of $6,400 from the Local Cultural Council (LCC) grant cycle and has about $2,900 encumbered for remaining awards. Gates said the council’s FY26 portfolio shows roughly $10,400 allocated in total, with $6,400 earmarked for the LCC awards the committee will consider in November.

The council’s review process is reimbursement-based: grantees have 12 months from award to submit expense requests.
