He also said the city received a $250,000 grant from the Clean Power Alliance to help with zero‑emission vehicle purchases and a separate $70,000 allocation through FoodShare of Ventura County to benefit residents in need.
On civic engagement, the mayor highlighted the Camarillo Library teen advisory board’s new initiative to expand youth participation in local government and the city’s Community Service Grant program, which awarded 25 grants this fiscal year to local nonprofits.
