Summary
District finance staff presented a preliminary levy calculation showing an estimated 3.7% increase in property tax revenue (CPI plus new construction); the district will ask the board to adopt a 3.9% levy to provide a cushion of roughly $300,000 and will revisit the item for final adoption in November.

Mr. Stanley summarized the district’s preliminary levy review for fiscal year 2025, explaining the levy is the mechanism for requesting property tax revenue from the county assessor and treasurer.
Stanley said the district estimates total tax growth of about 3.7% based on the Consumer Price Index adjustment combined with new construction now on the tax rolls (he cited Kamlin Sports in Libertyville as a recent addition). To preserve flexibility against changing EAV (equalized assessed value) estimates, the administration will request a levy of 3.9%, which Stanley said would provide a cushion near $300,000 depending on final EAV figures.
The presenter said the same material will return to the finance committee and to the full board in November for final adoption. Board members did not act on the levy at the meeting and asked no substantive follow‑up questions during the presentation.
