A district staff member speaking on behalf of Director of Student Services Miss Beatty requested the position, saying the role is needed "to address growing student needs and ensure that all IEPs remain fully supported and in compliance." The presenter said the projected annual cost is approximately $30,000 and that funding will come from the "Bridal 240" grant; the presenter also said the position is expected to be offset in the FY27 budget through expanded circuit-breaking reimbursement.
A motion to approve the position was made and seconded; the committee voted in favor by voice vote.
