Delavan council approves fire purchases, new water rates, event license and golf commission appointment

The most consequential votes authorized a 2026 contract with First Due for the fire department’s new record-keeping system at a total contract cost of $10,160 and allowed $2,360 to be paid in 2025 to begin pre-work. Using state FABT grant funds, the council approved purchases of EMS equipment totaling $34,065.71. Following routine items and committee reports, the council voted to move into a closed session under Wisconsin Statutes § 19.85 to discuss the Hunter’s Lane contract and the sale of city-owned land.
