The Concord Public School Committee voted Oct. 8 to approve FY25 year‑end budget transfers as presented and approved warrants 1019, 1025 and 1029.
The committee’s business manager summarized the year‑end reconciliation with the town and noted a base general fund budget of $46,515,007.13 and a supplemental appropriation tied to homeless transportation of approximately $76,030.09. Committee members were told the district completed its ledger reconciliation with the town and reported an unencumbered balance at year‑end (as presented in the year‑end summary).
The vote to adopt the transfers passed on a roll call; Percek, Murano, Shardi, Rank and Williams were recorded as voting aye for the motion to approve the FY25 year‑end transfers as presented. Later in the meeting the committee approved routine warrants by voice vote.
The district also reviewed competitive and entitlement grant funding, including Title I, IDEA and a racial‑equity integration grant; staff said a modest Title I reduction being discussed at the federal level would have only a small effect. Revolving funds—including school lunch and newly established facilities rental and nonresident tuition revolving funds—were reviewed. The district reported circuit‑breaker reimbursements rose unexpectedly in FY25 due to a late state change in transportation cost allocation.
Committee members asked for clarifying documents and staff said they would circulate any final adjustments if they occur. The motions and outcomes were recorded in the meeting minutes and will be reflected in updated financial summaries submitted to the town.
