Karen asked members to RSVP for two in-person trainings — a CRACE training on Oct. 30 and an Equity & Social Justice Division training on Nov. 4 — and noted the Nov. 11 budget session will start at 5:30 p.m. She explained that on Dec. 1 the municipal guidance on campaign restrictions (commonly called the "50-piece" rule) will go into effect for anyone up for reelection and that staff prepared a detailed guide of FAQs and examples to help members comply. Karen also described improvements to three reserved parking spaces in the City-County Building basement and distribution of yellow cards to authorized users to reduce unauthorized parking.
Karen encouraged members to follow accessibility best practices when preparing public-facing material and offered staff support for questions and compliance. The committee received the updates; no formal vote was required.
