Student representatives from Boyertown Area Senior High (BASH) provided the board with a monthly report on student life and academic activities.
Speakers highlighted an upcoming powder puff game on Oct. 29 with proceeds to the Four Diamonds nonprofit, a Rio-themed spirit week and homecoming events including a pink-out for breast cancer awareness. The students noted AP and dual-enrollment (DE) registration deadlines: AP registration and payment end Nov. 1 and AP test orders will be finalized Nov. 14. Upperclassmen participated in a half-day on Oct. 15 for pre-ACT (sophomores), pre-SAT (juniors) and senior career-exploration presentations.
The students described multiple fundraising efforts for the senior class to offset prom and trip expenses and thanked the board for its time. The board acknowledged the students and encouraged continued communication.
Why it matters The report gives the board a student perspective on extracurricular engagement, academic deadlines and how school events connect to community fundraising and support.
