Forest Lake City Council authorized staff to execute a letter of support for the City of Lino Lakes' application to MnDOT's Local Road Improvement Program for the Otter Lake Road extension.
Staff said Forest Lake has been in discussions with neighboring jurisdictions — Hugo, Columbus and Lino Lakes — about the Elm Crest/Hornsby corridor. Lino Lakes' planned Otter Lake Road extension will connect to that future corridor, and city staff recommended supporting the Lino Lakes LRIP funding request. There is no direct cost to Forest Lake for providing a letter of support.
A council member moved to authorize execution of the attached letter of support and the council approved the motion by voice vote.
