Engineer's office recommends rejecting single bid for Norris Run drainage; county sets Nov. 4 re‑bid date

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 13 approved a recommendation from the county engineer to reject a single responsive bid for the Norris Run Watershed Drainage Improvement project and to re‑advertise the work.
Lee Bodnar of the engineer’s office told commissioners the project received only one responsive bid and staff recommended rejection to preserve competitive bidding; the office asked the board to accept the plans and specifications and set a bid opening at 10 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Commissioners approved the recommendation by voice vote (Res. 25-829). Staff said re‑advertising is intended to produce competitive responses that align with the project scope and budget.
