Delaware County transfers $180,000 to buy CCTV truck for regional sewer; monthly sewer report shows mixed development activity

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 13 approved resolution 25-828 to transfer $180,000 from a professional services line to a machinery and equipment line so the regional sewer district can purchase a CCTV (closed‑circuit television) inspection truck.
Staff said the truck has been located and can be ordered once the purchase resolution is presented in a future session. The CCTV truck is intended to support sewer inspections and rehabilitation projects; staff described the purchase as something the district has needed for several years.
Commission staff also presented the monthly sanitary sewer report. Key items included multiple subdivision approvals and sewer acceptances — including Pulte’s Evans Farm (63 single‑family lots), The Courtyards at Big Walnut (Epcon), Redwood Powell phases and other sections — and an overall 129.4 equivalent units connected in September. Staff noted a large connection from the Ohio State Medical Complex representing about 61.5 equivalent units, which materially contributed to the month’s totals.
The transfer of appropriations (Res. 25-828) and routine sewer business were approved by the board. Commissioners Jeff Benton, Barb Lewis and Gary Merrill voted in favor.
