Titus County accepts $320,000 NetRMA grant for FM 1735 project

The Titus County Commissioners Court on Oct. 27 accepted a $320,000 priority project award from the Northeast Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NetRMA) to support construction work on FM 1735.
Gary Halbrooks, identified as chairman of the NetRMA board, presented the award and said, "I'm happy to present the $320,000 check as a portion, to the FM for the construction of the FM 1735 project." County Judge Kent Cooper and commissioners publicly thanked Hudson (county contact) and others for locating and preparing the grant application.
Commissioner Parker moved to accept the priority project award; Commissioner Applewhite seconded the motion. The court voted in favor and the motion carried.
The NetRMA representatives present included Halbrooks and Dean Simmons, director of engineering; the award was described as offsetting part of the county's project costs. The county record shows the check presentation and a photo opportunity with commissioners and NetRMA staff.
