Coventry — The Coventry Planning Commission on Oct. 27 approved its proposed 2026 meeting schedule and authorized staff to file the calendar with the secretary of state.
Staff said the commission will retain a fourth‑Wednesday cadence for regular meetings, with adjustments for holidays. The director also told commissioners to reserve Nov. 19 and Dec. 18 for hearings at the high school to accommodate a large‑scale project expected to require at least one — and possibly two — public sessions at that venue. Staff asked commissioners to keep Dec. 17 available for regular business and noted the possibility of an additional special meeting if the large‑project schedule requires continuations.
Commissioners approved the filing by voice vote. Staff said the special high‑school meetings are intended to concentrate discussion on the large project so other agenda items are limited to five minutes or less.
