Supervisor Mawhinney introduced the recognition and Supervisor Woodman seconded the motion; the board approved the resolution by voice vote. Speakers noted Fisher’s work on vital records, including issuing birth, marriage and death certificates, assisting funeral directors, and projects to digitize and index veterans’ DD-214 discharge records.
A county staff member described Fisher as organized and credited her with indexing veterans’ discharge records and completing a digitization project last year. During remarks the board said Fisher helped implement escrow accounts for funeral homes and, over her tenure, handled more than $1,800,000 in vital-records transactions for the office.
The board gave Fisher a certification and expressed appreciation for her customer service and institutional knowledge.
