Leaders described the approach as a way to convert isolated successes into repeatable, systemic gains across campuses.
The presentation highlighted the board's role in providing funding and training for materials and noted an upcoming agenda item for contracts or purchases exceeding $50,000 to expand the work to additional campuses. Staff emphasized coaching, daily PLCs, progress monitoring, and the principle that "the people who do the talking do the learning," meaning teachers learn by actively leading planning and instruction rather than passively receiving directives.
Board member Miss Bass moved to approve the addition to the theory of action; Miss Delagarza seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Presenters told trustees the change is intended to shift the district from a compliance-based model toward outcome-driven instruction that prioritizes content acquisition and continuous improvement. The board will consider associated material and training expenditures in future meetings.
