Ramsey County launches new website; public health and federal shutdown updates provided to commissioners

Communications staff announced that the county’s redesigned website is live at ramseycountymn.gov. The site now uses a .gov domain, includes language translation tools, improved search and streamlined navigation; staff said the intranet replatform will follow.
Public health staff briefed commissioners that there are 13 confirmed measles cases across the metro region and one confirmed case in Ramsey County. County staff are working to contact possible exposures, provide guidance and manage case interviews. The county said it currently has operational procedures to manage the situation and will continue outreach as needed.
County officials also updated the board about the ongoing federal government shutdown. Staff said federal agency staffing shortfalls could delay assistance and review of requests. Some drawdowns and payment processes may require special approvals and could be affected; the county is coordinating with state partners and monitoring federal developments.
Other highlights: Commissioners reported on tribal flag installations at the Landmark Center and the Ramsey County Juvenile and Family Justice Center and noted events and community engagements including workforce initiatives, affordable housing groundbreakings, and neighborhood visits.
