Deb Purfest, speaking for Rice County Community Health, said the three-year grant agreement was originally approved in November 2023 and that the annual amendment updates the dollar amount for the coming year based on medical assistance (MA) enrollment. The amendment adds $128,604 for 2026 to support outreach for children birth through age 20 enrolled in MA programs; staff duties include appointment reminders, scheduling assistance, and arranging interpreters and transportation as needed.
Purfest said projected revenues and expenditures are included in the county's proposed 2026 public health budget. The board moved, seconded and approved the amendment by voice vote.
