District reports HR ticketing soft launch, GAINS reporting burden and 93,000-meal month

District leadership opened the meeting with operational updates covering human resources, finance and food services.

Staff launched a soft rollout of an IIQ ticketing system to manage HR inquiries and collect customer-service data; district leaders said the system will be rolled out to all staff next month to improve response time and accountability. Finance staff were thanked for working toward audit season; presenters said many finance employees are completing their first formal audit in their current roles. District staff reported that Colorado Department of Education's new GAINS grants-reporting system has increased reporting work across several teams — school finance, ACES, CLDE, the family resource center and central administration — and that staff estimated the change has required roughly an additional 240 staff-hours compared with prior processes.

The district also celebrated a food and nutrition milestone: 93,000 meals served in a single month, which leadership said reflects student reliance on and enthusiasm for school meal programs. Board director visits to Basalt Elementary, Carbondale Middle, Roaring Fork High and Bridges High were noted as an important part of assessing school priorities and classroom practice.
