Courtney Arbor presented the recommendation to the commission and said increasing the director's salary to the capped level aligns the position with legislative changes. General counsel Doug Jennings proposed an amendment to make the increase effective November 1; Vice Chair and other commissioners supported that amendment. The commission then voted to adopt the amended motion.
No roll-call dissent was recorded in open session; commissioners carried the motion by voice vote. The commission recorded the effective date as Nov. 1 and directed staff to implement payroll adjustments consistent with the approved change.
