The Faribault board approved a tentative master agreement covering 2025–27 with the Faribault Education Association (FEA) at the Oct. 27 meeting.
Superintendent Venti and district negotiators described the agreement as within board parameters and the result of collaborative bargaining. District staff named in the meeting as part of the negotiation team included Rob Daynert, director of special services, Nicole Yocom, director of human resources, and Barbie Raessler, director of business services.
The board called for a roll-call vote after discussion. Director Candice Knudson notified the board she intended to recuse herself on the item; Director Linda Moore said she would vote no, explaining she had concerns about language in the contract. The chair then conducted the roll call; the motion carried and the chair announced the agreement had been approved.
Superintendent Venti thanked negotiators and the union for completing the agreement. The board did not read specific financial terms into the public record during the meeting; staff said the agreement fell within the contractual parameters the board had previously set.
