Walnut Springs Ranch residents press county to fix County Road 408 after July flooding

Wollston said the subdivision comprises about 3,700 acres with roughly 138 owners and eight full‑time residents, and that the number of full‑time residents has increased over two years. He said one resident reported a concrete company refused to deliver because of the road’s condition. "That tells you pretty much how the condition of the road is," he said.
Wollston asked the court to examine equipment, staffing and processes for road and brush maintenance across Precinct 4 and other affected county roads. There was no formal action recorded at the meeting specifically tied to County Road 408; the commissioner in charge asked county road staff to provide a plan for addressing the most deteriorated sections.
