MetroPark staff updated the Yellowstone County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 14 about arena operations, a new food vendor and a revamp of concession offerings ahead of a multi-week event stretch.
Stoney and Mike of MetroPark said the arena completed an Ian Munczyk concert recently and faces a busy schedule including shows on Oct. 31 (Zach Topp), Nov. 1 (MercyMe), Nov. 5 (Jeff Dunham), Nov. 12 (Pentatonix) and Nov. 13 (Kevin Gates). Mike welcomed John Larasch and his Corn Dog Company as the newest food vendor, which will occupy the Southeast Concourse concession space formerly used by Fuddruckers.
MetroPark said the former Fuddruckers space left a gap for hamburgers and fries that county staff decided to bring back in-house as the "B Town Grill," a concession that will be run using existing part-time staff with the expectation of modest additional seasonal hours rather than a separate new hiring effort. MetroPark also described a revised skybox "call-ahead" menu and a day-of-show upscale pub-style menu that will include items such as pulled pork sandwiches, a 10-ounce pretzel with beer cheese and spicy chicken sandwiches.
Mike described the menu changes as an effort to improve customer experience and revenue for arena operations. The transcript records staff thanking departing Fuddruckers owner Dave Binstock and noting the county's intention to maintain hamburger-and-fries offerings for patrons.
No formal board action was taken on the update; the item was informational.
