Forest Hills Foundation awards $140,000 in teacher grants; seeks donations to support after‑school clubs

"Because of our very successful fundraising efforts last year, the foundation was able to award a $140,000 in teacher grants this year," Hale said. The foundation awarded 39 grants across district schools; a prize patrol began notifying recipients in classrooms this week.
Hale asked the community to support the foundation—all campaign, which has raised $12,000 toward a $20,000 goal; gifts will be matched by the JP Hayden and Lois Hayden Family Foundation. She also announced the foundation—undraiser "Denim and Diamonds" will be held Saturday, Nov. 15 at Belterra Park; organizers said tickets are limited and early‑bird pricing ends Nov. 1. All funds raised will support Forest Hills students and school programs.
The foundation presentation was delivered as part of the board—onsent and reports section; no board action was required at the meeting.
