Commissioners approve consent agenda: SRO grant, two dump trucks and three utility truck leases

The Allegany County Board of Commissioners approved three consent-agenda items presented by County Administrator Bennett.

Item A: the board accepted an SRO adequate coverage grant for $84,384 to support school resource officers; Bennett said this amounts to just over $7,000 per school.

Item B: the board approved the purchase of two new single-axle dump trucks. Bennett said the invoice will come from Kenworth and the county will pay $464,037.19 using remaining 2018 bond funds freed by changes to federal bridge project funding.

Item C: the board authorized the Alleghany County utilities division to lease three Ford F-350 trucks from Enterprise; leases will be paid from the utilities operating budget at $11.38 per month per truck, according to Bennett.
