County approves lease and vehicle license to secure access to animal shelter building and vehicles
Summary
The board approved a lease of the shelter administration building and a license agreement for vehicles owned by the shelter management foundation while that foundation winds down and transfers assets to the county. County Administrator Bennett was authorized to sign final documents.
The Allegany County Board of Commissioners approved a lease for the administration building at the county animal shelter and a license agreement to allow county use of vehicles owned by the shelter management foundation.
County Attorney Beeman explained the foundation is dissolving and transferring assets to the county. The agreements are intended to provide legal access to the building and to vehicles used by animal-control staff during the asset-transfer process. The attorney asked the board to authorize County Administrator Bennett to sign the agreements once they are finalized.
Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the lease and license agreements by voice vote.
