The Planning & Zoning Commission on Oct. 14 approved a conditional-use permit for an automotive repair operation at 306 East Osage Street, advancing the item to the Board of Aldermen.
GBA staff explained the property lies in the downtown area where a mix of commercial and residential uses exists and that automotive repair is allowed as a conditional use in the C-1 District. "With the existing use being the requested use and no exceptions being known, we would recommend approval of the conditional use for the parcel at 306 East Osage Street," staff said. Applicant Austin Forrester said he plans to operate similar services to the prior tenant (Big G) under a new business name.
