The Board of Education voted 6–0 on Oct. 14 to post recommended instructional materials for a 30‑day public display from Oct. 15 through Nov. 13, 2025. The recommendation followed a multi‑tier review involving district instructional teams, technology vetting and teacher review committees.
Assistant Superintendents Melody Veil and Nikki Woodbury outlined the materials proposed for public review. Key recommendations included: Desmos Math (Amplify) for K–8 math core instruction (including Spanish support for dual‑language kindergarten through grade 2); MakeMusic Cloud for instrumental music; Biology for the AP Course (Bedford, Freeman & Worth) for AP Biology; Environmental Science: Your World, Your Turn for environmental science; Azulejo for AP Spanish Literature and Henrician AP for AP Spanish Language and Culture; and Spanish 1–4 and French 1–4 materials for world language courses.
Veil said teacher review teams completed rubrics and noted strengths, including platform usability, accessibility supports (read‑aloud and translations), and alignment with state and national standards. The public can review digital access copies at the central office during business hours by requesting access at the front desk. The board will consider final adoption of the materials on Nov. 18, 2025, after the display period.
Board members approved the motion without recorded dissent. The approved motion authorizes staff to publicly display the recommended resources and to schedule final adoption for the Nov. 18 meeting.
