At its Oct. 20 meeting the Piedmont City Council approved the consent calendar and took a separate vote on the first reading of Ordinance 785NS.
Consent calendar (items 1–4): - Approval of the minutes for the Oct. 6, 2025 City Council meeting. - Second reading and adoption (consent) of Ordinance 784NS amending Chapter 17 (planning and land use) to implement the Moraga Canyon specific plan (zoning/division updates). The staff report noted this was the second reading; the first reading occurred at the prior meeting. - Approval of a resolution authorizing the city administrator to represent the City for Phase 6 of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation project. - Approval of employment resolutions for unrepresented labor groups (confidential; professional/technical/supervisory; recreation/childcare units) for the period July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2029.
The vice mayor moved the consent calendar; Council Member Paul Munier seconded. The consent calendar passed unanimously on voice votes.
Separately, Council approved the first reading of Ordinance 785NS (PG&E retrofit loan for LED lighting) and authorized the city administrator to execute related agreements; that motion also passed unanimously.
