Warrenton — The Board of Aldermen on Oct. 7 approved an annual management agreement with Midwest Pool Management of America for the city’s aquatic center.
City Administrator Brandy Walters presented the contract and said Midwest Pool Management proposed higher wages and operating expenses for 2026 to account for minimum wage increases and other cost pressures. Walters said the management fee for the contract year is $63,300 and the firm provided a maximum salary budget of $518,970.
The board advanced the ordinance through both readings during the meeting and adopted Bill No. 48‑25 by a unanimous (6–0) roll‑call vote.
Council members asked staff for the number of employees and were told the vendor manages lifeguards and site managers; staff committed to provide a headcount to the board. No amendment was made to the contract during the meeting.
