Keep Cleveland and Bradley County Beautiful schedule hazardous-waste collection, recycling events in November

Alan Mincey, director with Keep Cleveland and Bradley County Beautiful, told commissioners the group will promote "No Trash November" and run a household hazardous-waste collection from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Justice Center. Participants can bring paint, pesticides, pool chemicals and electronics, Mincey said.
Mincey also noted America Recycle Day on Nov. 15 and identified three county recycling centers: Urbane Road, Peerless Road, and the landfill recycling center. He said the organization may survey participants to collect city/county residency information. Mincey thanked county trustees and volunteers who help staff events and noted the Ocoee Region Builders Association recently adopted a stretch of Paul Hook Parkway.
The announcements are outreach and service activities; no county funding decisions or formal actions were recorded at the meeting.
