The Round Lake Beach Village Board voted to approve an ordinance granting a variance for properties commonly known as 436 and 486 East Cardinal Lane and to extend the purchase-and-sale agreement for Outlet A at the northwest corner of Rollins Road and Civic Centerway.
Economic Development Director Gil Rivera told the board the Planning & Zoning Commission recommended the variance because the existing garage structures sit on the shared property line and the owners intend to replace and attach a new garage to the house while setting it further from the property line. "There was a recommendation by the planning and zoning commission to go ahead and recommend approval of that variance," Rivera said.
Trustees moved and approved the variance by roll-call vote.
Rivera also summarized a request to extend the purchase-and-sale agreement for Outlet A to March 18 to allow additional engineering and related work to be completed. The board approved the second amendment to the agreement by roll call.
No public testimony on these agenda items was recorded during the meeting. Director Rivera and trustees described the actions as procedural approvals tied to prior planning commission review and ongoing engineering work; the ordinance and the amendment were approved with roll-call votes.
