Harmony Public Schools board approves long consent agenda including property purchase resolutions

The consent agenda as read into the record included approval of the board minutes for Sept. 27, 2025; ratification of actions from the finance committee (October 2025), academic committee (Oct. 18, 2025) and governance committee (Oct. 18, 2025); a resolution authorizing Harmony's participation in auctions to purchase real property in specific regions of Texas to support district expansion; and a resolution authorizing the purchase of real property in Dallas County and delegating certain matters related thereto. Board members were offered the opportunity to remove items for separate discussion and none were removed.
Board member (mover) made the motion to approve the consent agenda; another board member seconded it. The chair called for the ayes and the consent agenda was approved without recorded roll-call votes.
The consent vote moved multiple routine and operational matters forward and preserved the board’s option to consider any single item separately in a later meeting if requested.
