Motion: ‘‘I move the board approve the revised personnel agenda as included in enclosure 54’’ (moved by Mrs. White). The motion was seconded and the board approved on roll call, 5–0. (Roll call recorded in the transcript.)
Apple lease-purchase for teacher devices (Enclosure 55)
Motion: ‘‘I move the board approve the lease purchase with Apple Incorporated in the amount of $3,060,080 for MacBooks, iPads, AppleCare, Mosel support, and related deployment services as per Apple quote number 2213934107 as shown in enclosure 55’’ (moved by Mrs. White; seconded on the floor). Staff explained the district’s 3‑year refresh schedule and a 4‑year lease model that uses buyback/sell-back values to offset replacement costs. The board approved the motion on roll call; the vote was recorded as unanimous in the transcript. The quoted purchase amount and quote number were read into the record; the board and staff said the actual order would be placed in the spring.
East Bank Middle School football and baseball fields (deed transfer; West Virginia Code 18‑5‑7(b))
Motion: ‘‘I move that the board grant by deed the former Eastbank Middle School’s football and baseball fields to the city of Eastbank pursuant to West Virginia code 18 5 7 b.’’ The mayor of East Bank was not present; the board moved and seconded to table the motion until the mayor could attend. The motion to table carried, 5–0.
McKinley Middle School gymnasium lease (Enclosure 56)
Motion: ‘‘I move that the board lease the former McKinley Middle School gymnasium section of the building as defined and outlined in Enclosure 56 to the city of Saint Albans pursuant to West Virginia code 18 5 7.’’ The motion was seconded and the board approved the lease on roll call, 5–0. Staff noted the city planned to use the gym for youth basketball and that the mayor had received the lease copy earlier that day.
