City Parks and Recreation staff told the Oldsmar advisory board that they received 558 responses to the recently completed park-user survey, the largest response total the department has recorded.
Chip, the department director, said staff are compiling the spreadsheet and associated comments and will circulate the compiled results to board members before the next meeting so members can review them in advance. Staff noted substantial participation from organized user groups, including disc-golf club outreach.
Board members asked whether paper surveys submitted after the deadline could still be included; staff said late hard-copy surveys could be added but emphasized the need to begin analysis and reporting.
Staff said results and accompanying comments will be presented at a future meeting so the board can begin discussing community needs and priorities identified by the survey.
