Kennett schedules two comprehensive-plan town halls for public input

The council publicized two upcoming public meetings on the city'9s comprehensive plan: a town hall Thursday at Kennett High School and a second session Oct. 20 at the public library.
Councilmember Rocker told the Kennett City Council that the city'9s comprehensive-plan steering committee has met twice and will hold public outreach town halls to gather citizen input on vision and goals for the next five years.
The first meeting will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Kennett High School auditorium. The second meeting is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 20, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of the public library. Boothill Regional Planning Commission staff will attend the sessions to report on prior meetings and solicit public comment.
Councilmember Rocker encouraged residents to attend and said the meetings provide an opportunity to share ideas in a public forum. Staff provided handouts and said additional materials are available for those who want reminders.
